The Political Science Department and CAPE are thrilled to invite community college Government and Political Science department chairs and transfer coordinators to a showcase of what UC Merced has to offer!

What is the purpose of this event?
We want to host you on campus to show you firsthand the resources, mentorship, and learning environments that set UC Merced apart as a destination for your transfer students pursuing political science, research, and civic engagement. From this we hope to equip you with the information and tools to guide your students and to strengthen partnerships between our institutions as we work to support the next generation of policy leaders.
What will we do?
- Tour the UC Merced Campus
- Meet with faculty, staff, and current students
- Program demonstrations and discussions
- Lunch with Political Science faculty and CAPE affiliates
Is there a fee to attend?
No! There is no registration fee.
Is lunch included?
Yes! We will provide lunch, plus morning and afternoon refreshments. We also will send you away with some swag!
Do I need to pay for parking?
No! We will reserve a set of designated parking spaces for this event, so you do not need to purchase a parking pass.
Will you cover my travel?
