Congratulations to UC Merced's Political Science Assistant Professor Anil Menon along with Allen Hicken (University of Michigan), Tom Pepinsky (Cornell University), and Dan Slater (University of Michigan) whose research project China's Rise and Societal Cohesion in the Indo-Pacific: Concepts, Measures, Implications has been awarded a $3+ million grant by the Department of Defense under its Minerva Research Initiative. The Minerva Research Initiative builds strong connections to the social science community to help the DoD better understand and prepare for future challenges relevant to U.S. national security, guided by priorities established in the National Defense Strategy.
