Seungjun Kim's research focuses broadly on the value of crony capitalism in the context of international investment. Seungjun Kim's research interests lie at the intersection of international political economy, foreign direct investment, government-business relationships, international investment agreements, political economy of East Asia, and financial market reactions to political events. Kim earned Ph.D. degree in Government and Politics at University of Maryland, College Park in 2020, Master's degree in Political Science at Duke University in 2013 and Bachelor's degree in Politics and International Studies at Yonsei University in 2009.
